A teacher's diary

After weeks, no, months, of umming and ahing and wondering where I go with this blog, I've been inspired by the writings of Bullied by the Boss, the diary of a legal secretary whose pen name is Eva James. Thanks, Eva!  I came across her writing through the website of the Tim Field Foundation, a brilliant resource for those being bullied at work or merely interested in this important area of life at work.  I'm encouraged to write my own diary of experiences having repeatedly suffered at the hands of a workplace bully and, much more importantly, the failure of my managers to deal with it, the inadequacy of the legal system to provide support and legal redress and the consequent damage done to me both professionally and personally.  It was a deeply depressing period of my life which I doubt I will ever forget and completely move on from, but by writing about it, I hope to turn the negative into positive and help other teachers avoid the situation I found myself in.  Keep coming back - week 1 published soon!

  1. Thanks for the mention.

I'm delighted you've taken to blogging about events. If it's anything like my experience of blogging, it'll be as insightful for yourself as everyone else. It's such a positive, creative reaction to unhappy events - that alone, I think, is testimony to the kind of person you are.

I wish you all the best and you can certainly count on me as a regular reader.

  2. Remember that only the best ones get Bullied, Teaching has became an ugly profesion Teacher are bullied by students, parents and their school board , These boards are supossed to be composed by (respectable) members of the comunity. That doesn't warranty that they are flawless in fact, thay often use the platform to impose their archaic ways of thinking... jealusy, and inferiority complex prevail generally... My bully
was also on a Primary school board and regularly brought "ideas" to be implemented in our job ( with elderly people ) we would sit on meetings reading poems (each one a pharaph) to get us "in touch with our clients"......I was also goiing into teaching but I run !!! faster as I could..
